Coleman is Lancashire-born. She was a headgirl in the Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A level. As she discussed her Emmerdale character, Coleman expressed regret for her decision not to go to university. Coleman began working with a theater organization, In Yer Space while at school. The company performed during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. The performance received praise as well as the show was given positive reviews. Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two Awards. The British Soap Awards she was named Best Newcomer, and during the National Television Awards she was named the Most Popular Newcomer. For the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated for categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. In the 21st day of March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat spoke at a news conference that Coleman will be playing the Doctor's companion alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat picked her to play the part because she was the most effective with Smith and was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she has been involved in television and film projects. However she has been more prominent on TV than in films. Eva's role in TV shows Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. She was nominated for two "Daytime Emmy Awards" for her first part in both shows, as well as getting a chance explore her musical creativity. In addition to being a performer, Eva is also a donor and businesswoman. Eva is married to three men and has two children from the first.
