Niykee has experienced an eventful few years, including getting picked by Snoop to join him at The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule despite all this. She is now a magnet for aspiring producers she constantly combs through beats she receives and finds that many are able to spark song ideas. She says that she can tell if the beat is a good one in less than 5 seconds. And then, a brand new song may pop up in her mind. My lyrics come to me when I'm on my porch, playing my guitar. It usually takes less than thirty minutes. Niykee says that when she develops as a lyricist her painful memories from her childhood are an inspiration. Even when she's not writing about events that were actually taking place, all of her pain due to her childhood and the losing her younger sister finds its way into music. The music I write is inspired by my experiences and I am able to sense the deep meaning behind all of it. This is one of the things that is most important to me.
